Remembering Dante: A Cherished Member of Our Camp Family

We are deeply saddened to share the heartbreaking news of the passing of our former camper, student, staff member, and most importantly, our dear friend, Dante. His loss leaves a void in our camp community and in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Dante’s story with us began as a young camper, filled with curiosity, energy, and an undeniable love for snowboarding. Over time, he grew into a student and eventually joined our staff, becoming a mentor to others who shared his passion for the slopes. What set Dante apart wasn’t just his talent — though his unmatched style on a snowboard was something to behold — it was the way he infused everything he did with joy, generosity, and heart.

On the mountain, Dante’s presence was electric. He rode with a unique creativity and flow that inspired everyone around him, from beginners taking their first turns to seasoned riders chasing new challenges. Off the mountain, he was just as impactful. His laughter was contagious, his energy boundless, and his ability to make people feel welcome and valued was unmatched. He embodied the very spirit of our camp — community, adventure, and connection.

To us, Dante wasn’t just another camper or staff member; he was family. He helped shape the culture of our camp into what it is today. His style, spirit, and love for snowboarding touched countless lives, creating memories that will endure far beyond the trails and slopes.

Though we grieve his loss, we also celebrate his life. Dante will forever be remembered as part of our camp family, riding with us in spirit every time we step onto the mountain. We will carry his memory in our turns, our laughter, and our commitment to living with the same passion and authenticity that he embodied so effortlessly.

Rest easy, Dante. You will always be with us — in every run, every smile, and every moment we share together as a community.
