FALLON, Nev. (September 3, 2025, 5:00 p.m.) – The Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) is actively investigating a fatal crash that occurred Wednesday evening on State Route 118 (Wildes Road) in Fallon.
Authorities confirmed that the crash resulted in at least one fatality, though the identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of family. Troopers responded quickly to the scene and began an investigation into the cause of the collision, which remains ongoing at this time.
As a result of the crash, Wildes Road is currently closed in both directions between Testolin Road and Pasture Road. The Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and local emergency personnel are assisting with the closure and detours. Officials estimate that the roadway will remain closed for two to four hours, and drivers are strongly advised to avoid the area until the investigation is complete and the roadway can be safely reopened.
