SAGINAW, Mich. — The Wesolek family and the Saginaw community are mourning the untimely loss of Sydney Therese Wesolek, who tragically passed away on September 10, 2025, at the age of 21. Sydney’s vibrant spirit, warm heart, and unwavering love left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Sydney was a cherished daughter, sister, and friend. She was predeceased by her beloved grandparents, Tom and Margaret Wesolek, and David and Marlene Ellen, whose memory she carried in her heart. She is survived by her devoted parents, Dave and Cindy Wesolek, her sister Haley Wesolek, and her nephew Lorenzo Delecruz, as well as a large extended family including cousins, aunts, and uncles. Her family describes Sydney as a source of joy, laughter, and inspiration whose presence will forever be missed.
Sydney’s friends remember her as a kind and compassionate soul. She had the remarkable ability to brighten any room she entered, leaving those around her feeling valued, loved, and uplifted. One friend shared on social media: “Sydney’s energy and light brightened every room she entered, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.” This sentiment reflects the countless ways Sydney touched the lives of her friends, family, and community members.

Visitation for Sydney Therese Wesolek will be held at Snow Funeral Home in Saginaw, MI, on September 16 and 17, 2025, followed by a funeral service on September 17 to honor her life and legacy. The family has requested that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made according to their wishes, helping to celebrate Sydney’s life in a meaningful way.
While her family and friends grieve her loss, they take comfort in remembering Sydney’s radiant spirit and the joy she brought into their lives. Sydney’s legacy of love, kindness, and warmth will continue to shine in the hearts of all who knew her.
