BLAIR COUNTY, Pa. (September 5, 2025) – A late-night crash in Blair County has left Michael Mortimer, of Altoona, dead after his vehicle collided with a structure, according to local authorities.
The crash occurred late Thursday night when Mortimer was driving in Blair County. Investigators say his vehicle left the roadway and struck a structure. Emergency crews were called to the scene, but despite their efforts, Mortimer succumbed to his injuries.
Officials have not released the exact location of the crash or the type of structure that was hit, pending further investigation. The cause of the crash also remains under review as the Blair County Coroner’s Office and local law enforcement work to determine what may have led to the fatal incident.
