First Look at Suspect Michael Mallinson Accused of Shooting Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University Event

OREM, Utah — Authorities have released the first images of the suspect accused of opening fire during a speaking event at Utah Valley University (UVU) on Wednesday, where Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, was shot. The suspect has been identified as Michael Mallinson, who is now in custody.

According to reports, a single round was fired on campus, striking Kirk while he addressed attendees. Emergency medical personnel responded immediately, providing critical aid before transporting Kirk to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. His current condition has not yet been publicly disclosed.
