Lexington Police Arrest Suspect After Deadly Shooting Outside Club Blackout

LEXINGTON, Miss. – A tragic shooting in the City of Lexington has left one young man dead and a community in mourning. The incident occurred late last night in the parking lot of Club Blackout, located along Highway 12 within city limits.

According to authorities, officers from the Lexington Police Department, with assistance from the Holmes County Sheriff’s Department, quickly responded to reports of gunfire in the area. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from life-threatening injuries. Despite efforts to save him, the young man succumbed to his wounds at the scene. His identity has not yet been released pending family notification.

In a swift response, law enforcement confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the shooting. Details regarding the suspect’s identity and potential charges are expected to be released as the investigation progresses.
