Montgomery Police Take 11th Grade Student Into Custody After Incident at JAG High School

Montgomery, AL – September 4, 2025 -Authorities in Montgomery confirmed that an 11th grade student has been taken into custody following an incident at Johnson Abernathy Graetz (JAG) High School on Thursday. The situation prompted a swift law enforcement response and heightened concerns among parents and community members.

According to the Montgomery Police Department, officers were dispatched to JAG High School after school administrators reported a disturbance involving a student. While officials have not released the full details of the incident, they confirmed that it was serious enough to warrant immediate police involvement.

School officials say the situation was quickly contained, and there was no ongoing threat to students or staff. The 11th grader was detained without further disruption, and no injuries were reported.
