LUBBOCK, Texas –A tragic motorcycle crash late Wednesday night in Lubbock has left one person dead, according to the Lubbock Police Department. The incident, which occurred at the intersection of 21st Street and Chicago Avenue, is now under investigation by the department’s Major Crash Investigation Unit.
Authorities say officers were dispatched to the scene around 10:41 p.m. on September 10, 2025, after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle. When emergency responders arrived, they discovered that the rider had suffered severe injuries. Despite efforts at the scene, the individual was pronounced deceased.
The identity of the victim has not yet been released pending notification of next-of-kin. Officials also have not provided details about whether any other vehicles were involved in the crash. Investigators with the Major Crash Investigation Unit are carefully examining the scene, documenting evidence, and interviewing potential witnesses to piece together the circumstances that led to the fatal collision.
