Troup County, GA – The Troup County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed that Tracy Lynn White is now facing murder charges following the death of her husband weeks after a shooting incident in southern Troup County.
Authorities identified the suspect as Tracy Lynn White, who is accused in the shooting of her husband, Dawendall White, on August 11, 2025. The shooting took place at a residence along Chipley Mountville Road, where deputies initially responded to a report of gunfire. At the time, Dawendall White was found critically injured and was transported to a hospital for emergency treatment.
For several weeks, Dawendall remained hospitalized as medical staff fought to save his life. However, on September 2, 2025, the Troup County Criminal Investigations Division received notification that he had succumbed to his injuries.
